So it's been raining a *lot* here in the Pacific NW. Turns out even if you don't live on one of the many flooding rivers, you can still wake up to sopping wet carpet in the basement. Especially if you forgot to ever re-direct the downspout that your dad pointed out, LAST SPRING, was pointed directly at your basement wall.
I'm off to find more towels and fans!

It's raining here...but it's a nice, gentle rain. I don't hear any leaks yet, so we're good for now.
Oops...no, never mind. I hear a slow leak coming down the chimney. ;-) Good thing I have so many bowls!
Oh drat! So sorry to hear. Got a wet vac? Sure great for sucking up the major portion of water. It was our life saver during flooding in SD.
WA made AZ news today with the flooding rivers.
