NaBloPoMo Recap

Well folks, it's December 1st.  I never really announced it, but I ran and finished the NaBloPoMo race this year- I posted every single stinkin' day in November.  (NaBloPoMo= National Blog Posting Month, a spoof on a yearly event called National Novel Writing Month.  They write a novel in a month.  Yes, they're insane.  In a good way.  But more so by the end of the month.)

So, how did it go?  Well, in October I posted 17 times.  In November I posted 30.  My page hits went down 1.44%.  My visitors went down.  My pages read went down.  My comments per post went down.  Pretty much everything went down except for my bounce rate (google analytics, I ask you:  What IS bounce rate?  Is it bad?  Considering mine went up, it's probably bad.)  but you know what...I had fun.  I'm in the habit of daily posting.  I've reminded myself that I enjoy writing.

And nobody really wants me to.  *grin*

As I've often heard said, I love ya more'n my luggage...and I'm going to go make something :)

PS- No, I didn't win a prize

Ha! That is funny, and to think I almost could have done it if I hadn't taken that mental health break even without trying.
I try really hard not to look at my google analytics stuff because I know it would just mess with me, and not do what I'm trying to do.

hi, Myrnie!

How did you find out how many hits and stuff for your blog? What the heck is a bounce rate?

Well, anyway, congratz on the daily blogging. That is quite an achievement! I'm going to try to do that this month. We'll see how we both do, huh?

My son is better and went back to school for mostly full days. I feel like I can sit down and write again. Whew! And "whew" for my son. He can play and study again.

What a crazy year it has been!

God bless,
Elizabeth

Congratulations! I've done it; I know the kind of discipline it takes. :) And I agree--you find out if you really like writing. ;)

I was worried about not posting the last couple days, but after reading this I'm not going to sweat it! My DH who works in the analytics business tells me that bounce rate just means they came, they read that page (or not), and they left. So while we'd like people to browse, if they are regular readers all they need is the first page. p.s. thanks for stopping by my blog!

My uncle did that novel in a month thing. He actually has been contacted to have it published already. The crazy people exist and apparently in my family.
