My plot is all ready for the planting, but I'm procrastinating. Here's hoping that it's not going to frost over tonight!Suhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04017408882651443811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6712792048803588321.post-82418563418355271972009-05-17T13:54:00.000-07:002009-05-17T13:54:00.000-07:00Just so you know... mint NEVER dies. I've pretty much given up on veggies except for herbs, and now potatoes. They seem to be doing very well in the trash can. Thanks for that suggestion. It's keeping the insects away as well. We've got lots of those too!Alexandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12356420873078531863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6712792048803588321.post-86272499185741805642009-05-15T19:53:00.000-07:002009-05-15T19:53:00.000-07:00Mmmm...I can smell the mint from here. I think you just inspired me to do a garden post this weekend.

You will love the ground cherries. Ours have been reliably returning and deliciously producing for 3 or 4 years now.

We have a huge amount of veggies going in again this year. Tomatoes are exclusively cherry as I just have much better luck with them in our climate. I highly recommend the roma cherry if you can find it. Delicious and an excellent producer.

I am also nervously awaiting production on some of the fruit this year. Here's hoping for blueberries, raspberries, asian pears, grapes, peaches and satsumas. Or at least one of one of them. I *think* I might also have some sunberry starts, but given my labeling mishap, may not know until later this summer if I actually do. Unfortunately said mishap will likely lead to many a surprise. Really need to get better about labeling.

I don't want to wish the summer away, but I really can't wait to see what our gardens will bear this summer. :)Mama Papayahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08928718208052597051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6712792048803588321.post-14046302866264742782009-05-15T10:09:00.000-07:002009-05-15T10:09:00.000-07:00I love that! Containers are so easy since you can control the environment a bit more.

Our garden is slowly growing, our short season only lets us do a little at a time. Right now there's broccoli, the starts of spinach and lettuce and squash. Next month we'll add our tomatoes which are currently living in our kitchen window. Can't wait to see it all growing! And to eat from it! Yum.

Thanks for sharing-those pots are going to be fun to watch grow!Ginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15231197848904182078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6712792048803588321.post-79440344597847812152009-05-15T10:03:00.000-07:002009-05-15T10:03:00.000-07:00How fun!!
